Tammy McLeod is the reigning United States Sudoku National Champion. She started Sudoku in 2007 after picking up a book at the airport on her way to a conference and got hooked. A month later, she heard about the first US Championships and entered on a whim. She placed 2nd that year and 3rd the next, before finally emerging as the 2009 Champion.
